In an endearing Instagram post on Tuesday, Christine Brown, one of the stars of the reality show “Sister Wives,” expressed her admiration for her 13-year-old daughter, Truely. The proud mother and daughter duo had spent a delightful day together, looking after the younger members of their extensive family.
Christine, who is 51, lavished praise on her daughter, saying, “Truely is AMAZING with her niece and nephew! We babysat them yesterday and had so much fun. #oma #aunt #tia #babysittinggrandkids #grandma #grandkids #stillwarm.”
The comment section of the post was filled with admiration from fellow fans of the “Sister Wives” show. One fan excitedly wrote, “That must be fun for her! This isn’t the first time that Truely has earned praise. In December, she demonstrated her character when she stood up for a friend who was being bullied at school. Christine shared the incident in an Instagram Story post, explaining, “So the other day at school, there’s this kid who has been just bullying everybody at school. The other day, he just wouldn’t give her friend these pencils. She wanted pencils in the classroom, and he’s holding the basket, and he’s shaking the basket, and not letting her friend get a pencil. And the teacher’s like, ‘Please sit down. Let’s not do that.’ Her friend’s like, ‘Can you please stop?’ And Truely stands up in her seat, she pointed straight at the kid and she goes, ‘YOU. Go sit down.’”
Aside from Truely, Christine and her ex-husband Kody Brown have a sizable family. Their children include daughters Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, and son Paedon, 25. Mykelti and her husband, Antonio “Tony” Padron, welcomed their daughter, Avalon Asa Padron, in April 2021. The family grew even larger with the birth of twin sons Archer Banks Padron and Ace McCord Padron in November 2022.
Christine’s list of grandkids extends to include the children of Maddie Brown Brush, who is the daughter of Kody and his second wife, Janelle. Maddie and her husband, Caleb Brush, are parents to Evie, 4, Axel, 6, and Josephine Lee, who they welcomed in February.
Christine, reflecting on her role as a grandmother, shared her thoughts in an interview with PEOPLE in August 2022. She expressed, “Being a grandma is the best. I get to watch my kids become parents, and Mykelti and Maddie are better moms than I was at their age. Way better. They’re so chill and easy and [set] appropriate expectations for the kids.” Christine’s words capture the heartwarming essence of her family’s journey, one that continues to captivate “Sister Wives” fans around the world.
