Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Says Kody and Robyn ‘Can Have Each Other’ After Leaving Plural Marriage

Janelle Brown, a central figure in the reality TV series Sister Wives, has expressed her belief that her former husband, Kody Brown, has transitioned into a monogamous relationship. This revelation came as a preview for the upcoming October 22 episode of Sister Wives. In the episode, Janelle, aged 54, shares her thoughts on Kody’s evolving relationship dynamics.

In a confessional, Janelle explained, “I mean, it really feels like he slipped into the role of monogamy, and I think maybe he did it a while ago and was just trying to maintain his responsibilities with his plural family.” She was referring to Kody’s past marriages to former sister wives Christine Brown, Meri Brown, and herself.

Janelle expressed a certain indifference, stating, “If I cared, it would bother me, but I don’t care. They can have each other.” This nonchalant attitude seemingly signifies her acceptance of the situation.

The conversation that led to this revelation was initiated by Christine, aged 51, who inquired if Janelle would consider being a part of another polygamist family after her marriage with Kody ended. Janelle, a certified health coach, responded positively, saying, “You have to know, I would consider a plural marriage again. I like it. I like plural marriage.”

Despite the failure of her marriage with Kody, Janelle maintains her faith in the concept of plural marriage and the independence it provides. She shared her perspective with Christine, stating, “So just because this relationship hasn’t worked out — that’s how most marriages are.” Janelle even hinted at a potential connection with Kody, suggesting, “When I saw Kody, there was definitely a spiritual, like, ‘Oh my gosh, you know this guy,’ right? So if something like that happened, sure.”

In a previous revelation, it was reported by In Touch that Janelle and Kody officially ended their relationship in December 2022 after nearly three decades together, but Kody disclosed that they had separated multiple times before this final split. According to Kody, these previous separations were primarily due to difficulties in managing the relationship with her sister wives, rather than an end to their marriage.

Kody further explained his reluctance to abandon his other wives, emphasizing his strong relationship with Robyn. He mentioned, “I’ve got one wife that I’ve got a great relationship with and I’m afraid if I abandon these women that she’ll lose respect for me.”

Christine Brown, the first sister wife to leave Kody, announced their split in November 2021. She cited growing apart as the reason for their separation and later married David Woolley in a whirlwind romance in Moab, Utah.

Kody and Meri Brown, aged 52, announced their split on January 10. They confirmed the permanent termination of their marriage relationship after over a decade of working on their relationship in unique ways.

Throughout the series, Kody faced accusations from Christine, Meri, and Janelle regarding favoritism toward Robyn, who was the last sister wife to enter the plural marriage. Kody and Robyn’s spiritual marriage took place in May 2010, and he was accused of providing her with a more extended honeymoon and assistance in selecting her wedding dress.

Notably, Kody and Meri divorced in 2014, enabling him to legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children from a previous marriage. Kody and Robyn went on to have two biological children, Solomon and Ariella.
