Sister Wives’ Garrison and Gwendlyn Suggest Robyn Is ‘Mad’ She Can No Longer Be the ‘Victim’ in Family Drama

In the latest episode of the hit reality show Sister Wives, viewers were treated to yet another intense family discussion. Janelle Brown, aged 54, and Christine Brown, aged 51, took a seat with their children to address the mounting tensions within their family, primarily centered around Robyn Brown, who is presently the sole wife of Kody Brown. Both Janelle and Christine have previously left their marriages with Kody, aged 54, and their recent gathering was no ordinary family chat.

Christine initiated the conversation, raising concerns regarding her departure and her detachment from the family dynamics. “Okay, can I just ask, because I feel like I was kind of out of the loop when I was leaving Dad and moving and everything like that. What did happen with you guys and Robyn, and you guys and Dad?” she inquired.

The children explained the root of the recent discord, revolving around their traditional Secret Santa gift exchange. Robyn had suggested that they conduct the exchange via Zoom to ensure everyone’s participation. Garrison, aged 25, recounted the family tradition, saying, “For the last 20 years, we’ve had a gift exchange where we draw names and we pick a gift for another sibling for the name we drew.” However, this year, things took an unexpected turn.

Gwendlyn, aged 21, revealed that the family expressed reservations about the impersonal nature of the Zoom exchange and proposed alternative ideas, including a competition. She then shed light on Robyn’s involvement, stating, “And then Robyn made it all about herself… She would mention something about trauma, how there’s a bunch of past trauma. Which, by the way, where’s the trauma coming from? Because Dad prefers them. We can all agree on this, right?”

The scene transitioned to a confessional with Robyn, where she presented her side of the story. “From my perspective, Kody did not choose us,” Robyn expressed. She emphasized her desire for her children to be fully integrated into the family and the difficulties they faced during the initial years of blending their families. “But then when COVID hit, all of a sudden my kids and I were excluded again. And all of a sudden we weren’t part of their group,” she continued.

Returning to the family discussion, Gwendlyn voiced her frustration, describing how Robyn’s texts raised concerns about trauma and the family’s lack of respect for her role as a mother. She reaffirmed her love and kinship with her siblings and Robyn’s maternal status. However, Gwendlyn doubted the situation’s potential for improvement, citing Robyn’s ultimatum: no Christmas with the family unless they met her expectations.

Garrison chimed in, explaining how Robyn had distorted the situation to make herself the victim. “She was gaslighting everyone into treating her with special treatment,” he remarked. The narrative, according to him, revolved around Robyn’s unique position as the last wife. Christine, meanwhile, listened and pondered the unfolding dynamics.

Gabe, aged 22, underscored that Robyn’s actions had created an environment where she positioned herself as the catalyst for the family’s discord. He emphasized her role in the family’s response to the pandemic, suggesting that she turned herself into a victim while Kody’s decisions further exacerbated the rift. Christine acknowledged the complexity of the situation but maintained that it was essential to understand all perspectives.

Garrison concluded the discussion, suggesting that the family’s growing indifference to Robyn’s actions had led to her diminished influence. He posited that the siblings’ maturity rendered them less dependent on a father figure, a sentiment shared among the siblings.

The latest episode of Sister Wives sheds light on the ongoing struggles within the Brown family, with Robyn’s role taking center stage. As tensions continue to mount, the future of this unique family dynamic remains uncertain.
