‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Feels Stronger Than Ever After Breakup

Sister Wives fans have watched Meri Brown struggle to find herself again after splitting with Kody. But now, it seems like she’s coming back stronger than ever before.

Kody Brown made it clear several seasons ago that he had no interest in keeping his marriage to Meri alive. However, she kept fighting to stay in the family. Now that their marriage is officially over, Meri Brown feels empowered. She’s learned quite a bit about herself and is excited to explore a new chapter of her life.

What’s going on with Meri Brown today?

Meri Brown feels strong and confident post-divorce

Kody and Meri’s relationship fractured a long time ago, but Sister Wives fans are just now watching it all play out on screen. But Meri doesn’t want fans to pity her. She’s actually quite content with her place in life at the moment.

“I’m pretty badass, just going to say it,” Meri told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “And I am very confident and I know what I’m worthy of and I am a very good business person and I know how to create safe boundaries around myself. And, yeah, it’s pretty good. I’m not too shabby of a person.”

The Sister Wives star went on to say that she felt aggravated when people made negative comments about her personal growth journey.

“People are always telling me, you don’t know what you’re worth. You have no value. Just really derogatory about me,” she continued. “And it’s like, ‘No. Actually, I know what I’m worth, and I know what my value is, and I know what my values are.’ And this is why I worked to try to save my marriage for so long.”

The TLC star reflects on her past

Although Meri Brown is content at the moment, she admits she would have done things differently throughout her marriage.

“There’s definitely things in the past three decades that I would’ve done different, different conversations that I would’ve had. But I mean, hindsight’s 20/20, right?” she told PEOPLE. “You don’t know until you know, and there are a lot of things I didn’t know, Kody didn’t know, all of us didn’t know 20 years ago, 30 years ago.”

After leaving polygamy, Meri has brand new horizons to explore. She can focus on her business opportunities and spending time with her child, Leon. Even though she made mistakes, she doesn’t regret the journey.

“So I think that my family and the life that I have lived and all the experiences that I have had has really only contributed to who I am now, so I can’t regret that at all,” she said.
